D'lish Milkshake!

Mmmmmm....just dropped my dad off at the airport from his week long visit. Good visit, kids loved him:) The mmmmmm.... part is for our stop at D'lish Burger in Spokane. I had me a nice double cheeseburger w/fresh onions, fries, and a huckleberry milkshake...mmmm...although...NOT better than a strawberry one mom ;D. But, at least I did it! I've been itching to scratch the huckleberry one off my list for 3 yrs now...DONE! One ta-do off of my mile long list...off to a carb-coma induced nap!

Sorrow & Suffering

This song was playing on the radio today-and I've loved it for years, especially Natalie's sand papery crystal voice-if there is such a thing! However, I had new eyes, a new heart to hear and understand this song...especially in relation to our book study on, 'Hind's Feet in High Places', where Much Afraid's companions the Lord chose for her were sorrow and suffering. Who would ever think that sorrow and suffering could be used for good, to draw us closer to the Lord? It's amazing what God can do when we let go and trust him fully.

Hind's Feet on High Places, by Hannah Hurnard

I've been itching to get back into this book for years! In the past 10 yrs I've stopped and started this book 3 times, only getting about halfway through each and every time...I think it was 'meant to be' though...interesting. Anyways....doing a June Book Club at my house on ths book starting tomorrow night and we're going to get through it! I'm excited about what God will be doing and revealing in each of our lives through the story of Much Afraid. I believe this is a book, that no matter where you are in your walk w/the Lord, it can be revealing and beneficial in the stirring up of our heart's hidden fears and desires. I can't wait to take the plunge again!

Memory Verse June 1st, 2009

I chose this verse after soaking in Psalm 119 this past season of how beautiful God's law is...of course, this verse is from Psalm 112...but, you get the point-loL!

Psalms 112:1 (NIV)
1 Praise the Lord. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his commands.

FREEDOM!!!

Well, I just finished my speech this morning for women's group on Romans and I had a blast!!!! I just feel so honored to have been able to help in revealing the Lord's heart for his beloved. Anyways-although I was only able to cover half of my speech-loL!-this was a song I was wanting to add at the end in conclusion, but I am so not techi savvy and didn't have the time to figure it out. But, this whole month, during my planning of the talk, whenever this song came on-it was like the Lord was saying, 'Yes, this is it!" So if you have a moment, please listen to it and let the lyrics sink into your heart. Break free from bondage, from the enemies condemnation in your life, and just soak in God's love and grace for you this sweet summer season.
