Scatter Seeds Of Kindness

I have the first paragraph of this beautiful poem, hung by my bed. I read it almost every morning, and I've come to really love it. Thought I would look it up today to see what it was from, and it turns out to be part of an old Hymn.

"So let us
Gather up the sunbeams
Lying all around our path,
Let us keep the wheat
And roses,
Casting out the thorns and chaff.
Let us find our sweetest comfort
In the blessings of today,
With our patient hands
Removing
Shadows from each
Others way."
May R. Smith (1842-1927)
